The brand name was inspired by Agnz Deron, mother of Tina, grandmother of Beyonce and Solange. The women's
fashion range was said by Tina and Beyonce to honor Mrs. Dereon, a self-taught seamstress who created fine custom
clothing and home furnishings for select private clients throughout the south in earlier years.
"Based in Louisiana, the Deron inspiration used her 'can do' attitude and love for fine tailoring to accomplish
anything she set her mind to in fashion and beyond" is a message the Knowles posted on the official House of
Dereon clothing web site to describe the late Agnz Deron.
Tina Knowles picked up and furthered her mother's love for fashion and design. Throughout the time period she was
supporting her daughters' careers, she found ways to upkeep and entertain her need to design and style. The mother of
both Beyonce and Solange Knowles found time to birth "Headliners," a hair styling salon in Texas. Headliners
became one of the most popular salon names in the southwest and a gateway for Tina's creative vision to remain sharp.
Beyond Tina's Headliners salon, in brief readings on-line, it is also a fact that Tina Knowles has been honored by
the prestigious CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), for her contributions to the fashion accessories
industry.
Beyonce's creative direction landed her unrivaled success in the music world and is now channeled into House of

approving and discussing fashion designs and ideas.
