In that news, it also stated that the Atlanta rapper TI and his business partner Jason Geter were starting a Hip Hop clothing line called "AKOO". What the new Urban brand's name stands for, we have no clue.

March 14th, 2007 (Credible Sources, SJ) - According to a credible source, Rocawear Clothing Company's first move since Sean 'Jay-Z' Carter's selling of the brand, is firing a lot of the Rocawear Brand reps. SoJones' heard from different sources that the brand is trying to minimize it's spending and take control over profits by any means. As a Hip Hop Clothing and fashions follower, SoJones' founder suggests the move may cause the brand to come to a haulting point. Rocawear Clothing has been a leading Hip Hop clothing brand since the 1990's.

February 27th, 2007 (AllHipHop News) - Hit making songstress Kelis Jones has been in headlines lately and according to most new sources is finally in the final phases of launching her CAKE jewelry and accessory fashions. No details assembled on the clothing portion of Kelis' Cake clothing brand. It will be highly eccentric according to unrelated sources.

SoJones has recieved a statement that Nike is trying to get Greedy Genius sneakers' barred. According to resources, Nike is refusing to sell to stores that are selling the GG brand, in effort to slow down it's success. Ask Your Local store!

February 12th, 2007 (Credible Source, SJ) - Rapper Young Jeezy is finding much success teaming up with rapper Jay-Z. His sophmore album release peaked at #1 and now his 8732 clothing line is supposedly finding the same success. According to store sources and other reports, the rapper's clothing is moving fastly. Bigger than that, its rumored the artist is going to be doing design collaborations soon.

January 30, 2007 (Credible Source, SJ) - Short reads on-line from the DoBizo Blog have surfaced that Akademiks clothing company has been sold. No official stories or comments from the brand founders have been located but this could be true. Surprisingly, Akademiks just launched "aka Stash House", which was aimed at keeping up with the current market divide. aka Stash House is a pricey urban boutique brand that caters to the streetwear movement.

January 30, 2007 (Credible Source, SJ) - Matt Halfhill, owner of NiceKicks.com, has been in the news across the country for his amazing collection of Nike sneakers. Boasting over 500 pairs in his collection, it seems the sneaker fanatic has caught the attention of the late-nite show hosted by Jay Leno. According to SoJones On-Line sources, he will be appearing on the Late Nite show some time around late February.

January 16, 2007 (CHutchins ATL Report) - After already owning 2 successful Atlanta area boutiques (Taste & Taste II) that sells exclusive fashion merchandise, it seems the Prince of Hip-Hop wants more. According to sources, Bow Wow purchased half the ownership rights for Atlanta Sneaker boutique "Prestigous". With the new deal, the sneaker store is planning a move that will likely land it downtown towards the pricey & fashion forward Atlantic Station area.

January 1st, 2007 (On-Line Rumors, SJ) - Nike might be creating a seperate brand for Air Force 1s. The effects from this, a lot more AF1 releases. Introducing this new "Air Force 1" brand would be similiar to what Nike did to seperate brand Jordan from Nike.
