Default What is the difference between Urban brands & Streetwear brands?

What is the difference between Urban brands & Streetwear brands?

I checkout Dr.Jays.com often, most the (women) urban brands look high-schoolish and young.

I checkout Karmaloop.com, most the (women) streetwear brands are very creative. The actual based on individuality of their brand. Their brands actually had art, concepts and designs.

I start to like streetwear better.

In my opinion, streetwear is way more creative and thought provoking than urban/hip hop clothing, which tends to be more flashy and has you walking around looking like a human billboard.

I used to be into hip hop clothes when I was in high school. But, now that I'm older I tend to prefer high fashion and streetwear. I'm 25 by the way.

What is the difference between any urban and hip hop clothing shop and Dr. Jay’s urban clothing store? Well there isn’t much difference between Dr. Jay’s urban clothing stores and any urban clothing stores out there. All of them specializes in selling and offering a wide range of urban clothing lines, though some have a wider collection than the other one, it is all still the same.

i gotta say, urban hip hop brands and style is fading away. Baggy clothes, baggy jeans, and anything that resembles the 90s slouch look era isn't the same now. We are in a time where looking slim and fit is attractive in fashion. Streetwear takes a piece off that to help inspire their shape. Streetwear was inspired by skateboarding too, so that's another difference between the two styles.

I personally like streetwear; slim, sleek, creative, colorful, bold, and flashy in a humble way.

Urban brands usually have shiny crap all over while Streetwear brands are more fitted, simple yet very creative. Urban brands are pretty much dead these days anyway - at least here in NYC they are. Everyone's up on premium streetwear brands. More fitted / retro 80's style

Urban clothing seems to be safe and repeative. some stuff is cool, but I really like streetwear.

Streetwear is more edgy and people can really express what they feel with their designs.

I really like this brand called ArtistiCreation Clothing Company
