Default HH Gregg is in Trouble!....long rant

First major project was the kitchen. All I had to do was get the LG dishwasher, get my floors installed and countertops installed and accesorize. Thursday I come home and there is a puddle of water by the fridge. I ask my hubby about it b/c he had the power turned off installing some new coach lights. I thought the power being off caused ice to melt or something. He told me it was only off for 2-3 minutes. I clean up the water. Next morning, there is another puddle. I call LG later and they told me to turn the water off and that monday was the earliest they could come out. She said to call HH gregg and tell them the problem and see if they could get here sooner.

Saturday Morning I call HHgregg and the girl acted nonchalant and told me to call the service dept. I said are they open. She said no. I WENT OFF! Why would she pass me on to another # knowing no one was going to answer. I screamed on her and said put the Mgr on the phone. She hangs up after I called her everything but a child of God. I call right back and demanded a Mgr. She had the nerve to say.."Are you going to talk to me the same way you just did?" I said look B, I will come up there if I have to. The Mgr gets on the phone, voice all shakey. I threatened to return all the appliances (about 8K worth) if he didn't resolve the issue.

HH Gregg comes out today and it turns out the delivery guys did not install the water line correctly. Something about they used the old connection instead of pinching the line down some and reconnectioning. That was a whole nother story. I had to file a complaint against the fridge delivery people b/c they complained about having to take the doors off the fridge and my front door to get the thing in the house. They had attitude from the moment they walked in. Then they had the nerve to ask me did I want the water line hooked up. I said why the F would I buy a top of the line refridgerator and not want the ice/water dispenser to work. They ran the line, but the water would not come out. All the a$$holes had to do was turn the valve under the sink. They said they couldn't find it. I called a plumber and paid $100 for him to turn a valve that was under the sink and not under the subfloor like HHGregg said. After my complaint HHGregg sent me a check for $184 to reinburse me for the plumber and the delivery charge.

This is what the water leaking for 3 days caused: dry wall damage, mold, floor messed up, cabinet damage. Like I said, I am redoing the floors but its just the principle. HH gregg is going to have to repair everything and i don't give a damn if I tear the floor back out. To the right of the fridge is the stove and I know there was water under there too. HHgregg is sending someone out tommorow to get qoutes.

I'm still in love with it though, just won't shop HHGregg anymore.

you should have them replace the stove tooo because you dont know what unforeseen damage has been done to it by the water. that will save you from having to deal with them again if it does have problems later on.

*side note- let me get one of those arizona teas.

*other side note- clean steel looks the exact same

I only buy em b/c of the color of the can! j/p
Yeah, that sounds like a very good idea with the stove. Plus my niece messed it up already by using a old pot that had grease on the bottom of it and it caked on the smooth top. I had new stainless cookwear but she used the stuff i set aside to take back to my Mom. I can use a blade to get it off, but I don't have time for all that.

 THat's the funniest shii I've heard all day!

I'm really feeling your fridge Brooke....and those black cabinets. I assume my cabinets are the original from the builders in 97-98. They are in good shape but the more i get into my remodeling I am thinking I may need to replace em to make it fit in with my modernized theme. I like wood where you can't see the grains. I hope the granite will spice em up. I think there is a sample piece in one of my pics...the gray with black specs. We were gonna go with black marble (no veins) floor but I hate the upkeep of marble and my husband only wanted marble b/c of what Jeezy said with his hood self. I'm thinking a shiney black ceramic will look just as good.

Your kitchen looks like something on the stories. I like the back splash too.

What cabinets go with industrial? I might have to bite.

Yeah, that would be tight to have glass cabinets, or even clean steel. I've seen em frosted with lights and people get the real nice dishes to match. I forgot your hubby is an architect.
