First major project was the kitchen. All I had to do was get the LG dishwasher, get my floors installed and countertops installed and accesorize. Thursday I come home and there is a puddle of water by the fridge. I ask my hubby about it b/c he had the power turned off installing some new coach lights. I thought the power being off caused ice to melt or something. He told me it was only off for 2-3 minutes. I clean up the water. Next morning, there is another puddle. I call LG later and they told me to turn the water off and that monday was the earliest they could come out. She said to call HH gregg and tell them the problem and see if they could get here sooner.
Saturday Morning I call HHgregg and the girl acted nonchalant and told me to call the service dept. I said are they open. She said no. I WENT OFF! Why would she pass me on to another # knowing no one was going to answer. I screamed on her and said put the Mgr on the phone. She hangs up after I called her everything but a child of God. I call right back and demanded a Mgr. She had the nerve to say.."Are you going to talk to me the same way you just did?" I said look B, I will come up there if I have to. The Mgr gets on the phone, voice all shakey. I threatened to return all the appliances (about 8K worth) if he didn't resolve the issue.
HH Gregg comes out today and it turns out the delivery guys did not install the water line correctly. Something about they used the old connection instead of pinching the line down some and reconnectioning. That was a whole nother story. I had to file a complaint against the fridge delivery people b/c they complained about having to take the doors off the fridge and my front door to get the thing in the house. They had attitude from the moment they walked in. Then they had the nerve to ask me did I want the water line hooked up. I said why the F would I buy a top of the line refridgerator and not want the ice/water dispenser to work. They ran the line, but the water would not come out. All the a$$holes had to do was turn the valve under the sink. They said they couldn't find it. I called a plumber and paid $100 for him to turn a valve that was under the sink and not under the subfloor like HHGregg said. After my complaint HHGregg sent me a check for $184 to reinburse me for the plumber and the delivery charge.
This is what the water leaking for 3 days caused: dry wall damage, mold, floor messed up, cabinet damage. Like I said, I am redoing the floors but its just the principle. HH gregg is going to have to repair everything and i don't give a damn if I tear the floor back out. To the right of the fridge is the stove and I know there was water under there too. HHgregg is sending someone out tommorow to get qoutes.
I'm still in love with it though, just won't shop HHGregg anymore.
