Destiny's Child members Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will look
fierce in concert thanks to the House of Dereon.
The fashion label will provide exclusive wardrobe ranging from sporty to evening looks for
the group's upcoming Destiny Fulfilled tour.
Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles, has been designing coordinating outfits for the girls since
the group's early days. She and her design team collaborated on the 60 ensemble costumes
for the trio along with 36 backup dancer outfits, which Beyonce helped inspire.
"Performing is not only about sharing my musical passions, but it's also about expressing my
individuality," says Beyonce. "By having Destiny's Child wearing House of Dereon on the
tour, I am able to express my creativity and love of music and fashion."
"This is the fun part of the job! To be able to design clothing with my daughter for her,
Kelly and Michelle is a complete thrill on every level," adds the elder Knowles. "Through
fashion, we are able to add an exciting visual component to the live performance of
Destiny's Child ... this is one of the reasons we started House of Dereon."
The outfits will use luxury fabrics such as imported leathers, stretch silk, silk charmeuse,
crystal mesh, and iridescent and silk chiffon. In addition, intricate handwork, custom
finishing and Swarovski crystal beading will be featured on the fully accessorized pieces.
The upcoming tour -- for which dates are yet to be announced -- will hit an estimated
40 domestic and 35 international cities worldwide.
