Jay-Z put a ring on this Beyonce Knowles’ finger because he liked it, but now both are back to the business. Inspired by her role in coming movie ‘Cadillac Records’, the Platinum pop singer launched a new House of Dereon clothing collection at Bloomingdales NYC this past Tuesday (Oct. 28).

Getting into the character of Etta James in Cadillac Records, it seems Beyonce and Tina Knowles used the film setting and mind state for more than finances and entertainment. The idea of going from a struggling woman to a ball room Queen sparked inspiration for for a new House of Dereon clothing collection that is suitable for the Queen of England. From the red carpet after parties to the most prestigious closed door events, Beyonce continues to prove House of Dereon is head and shoulders above competitor fashion brands.

House of Dereon’s new dress collection was exclusively launched at Bloomingdale’s New York on 58th street. Knowles has began limiting what stores can sell the upscale fashion range and overall production. The only national stores that will retail the new House of Dereon clothing collection are Bloomingdales, Neuman Marcus, and Nordstroms. The gowns in this House of Dereon collection will range in price from $300 to $500 (USD).

Customers who purchased a dress from Beyonce’s House of Dereon collection during the Bloomingdale’s event were given an autographed copy of the “Cadillac Records” soundtrack, which won’t be available in stores for another month.
