$10,000 Jeans? Dear God I Hope Hip-Hop Artist Never Support This

LOS ANGELES, CA–(Marketwire – July 8, 2008) – Konquest, the highly anticipated new clothing line, and the revolutionary Key Closet collection by Michael Hong, were recently unveiled to a packed house during the glamorous Summer Splash Runway Show at BOULEVARD3 in Los Angeles. Key Closet, the edgy and explosive clothing brand, also debuted their groundbreaking diamond-studded $10,000 Jeans. The night-time event, benefiting the Breast Cancer Foundation, attracted a lively, celebrity-studded crowd that lent itself to a high-voltage party atmosphere.
The star wattage on the red carpet was impressive, with celebrities such as Se7en — the Korean pop sensation and recipient of the MTV Asia Award for Favorite Artist — who showed up to admire and be admired, standing out as the only attendee to wear a pair of the coveted $10,000 Jeans from Key Closet. Texas Battle (”The Bold and The Beautiful”), model Christi Shaka, Tatyana Ali (”Fresh Prince Of Bel Air”), Natalie Zea (”Dirty Sexy Money”), Darin Brooks (”Days of Our Lives”), and Cedric Sanders (”American Gangster”) were also in attendance, along with fashion industry insiders there to absorb the spectacle. The Summer Splash show was sponsored by Runway Magazine and also featured Caprice Bianca handbags, Judith Bright and Vegan Queen.
The highlight of the evening came at the unveiling of the Konquest line, featuring a sexy, unexpected twist on a military theme. Dressed in only t-shirts, colorful briefs, combat boots and vintage helmets, the ultra-masculine models strutted down the runway in a display that was equal parts strength and sleekness. Konquest clothing, cut to compliment the male figure with graphics that accent male prowess and puissance, was fittingly displayed with an artistic and intense focus on the body. The audience was thrilled by Konquest’s rugged, urban take on menswear, which represents a more accessible version of the top-selling Key Closet couture line.
Key Closet’s sophisticated and exclusive men and women’s collections were showcased by models donated by BMG Model and Talent Agency. The finale of the show featured Key Closet’s diamond-studded $10,000 Jeans, worn by two male models who simulated a sexy and playful swordfight on the runway. The audience was taken aback by the tumult of the dueling pair, a daring and dazzling climax to a show-stopping evening full of surprises.
Michael Hong, the visionary behind Konquest and Key Closet Collections, said that he was “delighted to debut the Konquest line on an evening with such fantastic energy. The runway show reflected Konquest’s artistic and sensual vibe, and we are pleased to already be receiving an incredible amount of positive feedback from this event.” Bonnie Moss of Moss Networks, the producer of this event, said she was “proud to be able to highlight the amazing artistry of Michael Hong’s collections. The audience got to see an imaginative display of the different fashion lines, all while supporting a great cause and experiencing some jaw-dropping moments.”
