Recently, Beyonce visited Marshall Fields in Chicago to unveil her new perfume - True Star Gold, which is the follow-up to earlier fragrance collaboration with top designer Tommy Hilfiger
While Beyonc sees the original True Star fragrance as "a private performance, sensual and soft," True Star Gold is more of "a reflection of [her] on stage." "This one is more for nighttime, for a woman when she wants to be sexy and more confident. It's sort of like me onstage -- hair blowing, lots of attitude.''- it's a sexy, confident fragrance."
That's an analogy that Hilfiger completely agrees with. "This fragrance celebrates the talent and the brilliance of Beyonc as a superstar," said Hilfiger. "She's really a true star - she's talented, beautiful, intelligent and charming - not to mention down-to-earth. And this fragrance is about glamour, beauty and sexiness - which is a feel we haven't explored yet with this brand and Beyonc."
The fragrance has top notes of melon, kiwi and red currant, a heart of pumpkin flower and golden pollen, and milk notes paired with raspberry, honey, lily, and tulip wood.
"I'm very proud of it," Beyonc told the crowd at her public appearance to promote the perfume. "I hope you guys love it. I do"
In related news, Beyonce says that her clothing line, House of Dereon, is a tribute to her late grandmother.
"The whole theme is taking nothing and turning it into something because that's what my grandmother did with all kinds of fabrics," she said. "She just turned everything into masterpieces, and that's what my mother does."
