Snoop Dogg Launches New Dog Clothing Brand

If you thought you had seen it all with Snoop Dogg, guess again. It seems the Long Beach, California rapper has had a new idea brewing for a while, recently deciding to make it a reality, launching a clothing range for dogs.
The “fo shizzle” rapper’s pooch-wear, which features gangster-style hoodies and animal print faux fur coats, will soon be barking its way near you.
The apparel is part of a Snoop Dogg line of pet products including toys and accessories designed for JPI Pets.
The launch of the collection which is not noted in many reports, is being preceded by a pre-order event. The pet-wear is already available for pre-order on Amazon.com. The pre-ordering launch started November 21st, running parallel with the release of Snoop’s much-anticipated new record “Tha Blue Carpet Treatment.”
A long time dog owner, Snoop Dogg is not only designing but sure to be giving his canine friends more royal treatment with fresh wardrobes.
Tony Lawlor, Senior Vice President of marketing at JPI Pets said, “We are very pleased to team up with Amazon.com to launch a pre-order for our JPI Pets’ Snoop Dog line of dog toys and apparel to coincide with the excitement surrounding his new CD.”
Snoop is not the only celebrity to launch a designer line for pets.
Paris Hilton, who has two pooches, Tinkerbell and Bambi, designed a chic dog collar featuring a crystal pendant in the shape of a bone, which sold for around $12.
Snoop Dogg has sold over 17 million records in his career, being one of the first rappers to hold a strong international and cross-culture appeal.
