I think all schools should have uniforms I think it makes for a better learning enviornment. I went to a private school with uniforms up until 8th grade and I HATED wearing a uniform but then when I got to high school I really appreciated them. I missed not having to worry about what I was wearing and having to worry about what others would think about my outfit! GO UNIFORMS!! I absolutely agree! I thought typical school uniforms looked ugly. I always dreaded celebrations because I had to wear dress pants or a vest, and wearing "icky" clothing made me feel bad as a person. Considering young girls with self-esteem issues, would school uniforms reduce image problems or exacerbate them? For example, a particular style of shirt will flatter some figures more than others (my choir uniform made skinny people look quite twiggy), but choosing your own clothing gives the opportunity to "shape" yourself as you see fit.
