Dubai Mourns Whitney Houston With Synchronized Fountain

When somebody as legendary as Whitney Houston dies, the world mourns for a long time. Tribute concerts are thrown in honor of the late singer, virtually everywhere in the world this week. But Dubai residents decided to honor Houston in a stylish, over-the-top way, like everything else in Dubai. Behold the wonderful synchronized fountain, ‘dancing’ to one of Whitney Houston’s biggest hits: “I Will Always Love You” taken from the soundtrack of her movie “The Bodyguard”.

In other Whitney Houston News, the pop star’s funeral will be held Saturday in The New Hope Baptist Church, the place where she used to sing in when she was little, in New Jersey. Arrangements are made by Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, it’s going to be an invitation-only event. Grammy Award winner gospel singer Marvin Winans, a longtime family friend has been chosen to give the eulogy. About the family’s desire to keep things private, Carolyn Whigham said:

“They have shared her for 30-some years with the city, with the state, with the world. This is their time now for their farewell. The family thanks all the fans, the friends and the media, but this time is their private time.”
