Adele, Interrupted at the Brit Awards 2012

The singer that recently won six Grammy Awards, Adele, was also the star at her homeland’s music event of the year: The Brit Awards 2012. However, her winning got stained with her gesture of giving ‘the finger’ to the camera when she was rather rudely interrupted in her acceptance speech by host James Cordon.
Cordon cut Adele off mid-sentence, to announce the performance by Blur. Adele, who won two prestigious awards “Best British Album” and “Best British Female Artist”, immediately flung her middle finger to the camera. The singer told the BBC:
“I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I’m sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me.”
Before she was cut off, Adele was saying really nice things about her country:
“Nothing makes me prouder than coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits and winning album of the year. I’m so proud to be British and to be flying our flag.”
Cordon then stepped in and asked to cut her off, to which Adele responded:
“Can I just say, then, goodbye and I’ll see you next time round?”
And boom, the finger.
You can watch the video right here and tell us: if you were Adele, would you do the same, or do you think she was out of place? Afterall, it was her moment, in her own country.
Earlier this year, rapper M.I.A. also flipped when she performed with Madonna at the Super Bowl, and the incident is now facing long legal consequences. What is it with these young ladies nowadays?
