Frankie and Neffe: “Do MUCH Better” (a command, not a comment)

Frankie and Neffe: Episode 3. Grade: D

We continue with our coverage of Frankie and Neffe, the BET reality show featuring Keyshia Cole’s dysfunctional, drama-oriented family.

Here we are at Frankie’s crib:

Neffe takes the advice of the life coach and attempts to build more trust with her mother, Frankie. Although Neffe has made it clear that she doesn’t trust Frankie’s judgment or the company that she keeps at her apartment, she decides to let her children visit their grandmother for a weekend sleepover. So of course Frankie has to go to the dollar store to get things for them to do.

It’s how the rich stay richer!

So everything is going well, and everyone is having fun, until..

Frankie falls asleep, the kids are making a mess, and Zo is there while Neffe comes back…

Zo is an ex-boyfriend of sorts to Frankie. A very abusive one; and Neffe hates when he’s at Frankie’s house, so when she saw him..

She kinda lost it!

The next day, while the kids are at Frankie’s, Neffe takes a trip to the beauty salon. She admits to her sister Elite that she is having second thoughts about marrying Soullow.consoling.png

Frankie and Neffe: Episode 4. Grade: C

In this episode, Neffe has a busy day. First, she plans a birthday party for Soullow’s son, Dashae:

and she moves forward with getting a divorce from her husband, Clyde. The day starts with a tense phone call to Clyde, in which hes assures Neffe that he filed papers and they are no longer married, but..is that the case? I think not! Neffe meets with attorneys to figure things out..

Meanwhile, Frankie has lunch with Sonia, her best friend and the woman she has been calling while babysitting the grandkids.  Sonia and Frankie have maintained a friendship since the “drug days.”

Frankie doesn’t like Soullow for some reason..for what reason I still won’t know. Any guy that wants to take his girl to church is a BAD guy? And he’s probably the reason she got some food in that fridge..but I digress!

Frankie receives an invitation to the party, in which she wants to host. Frankie says, “I wanna say man down on the mic!” Hillarious.

After showing the family what she got..

Neffe celebrates the birthday of Soullow’s son, Dashae. She laces him with fly gear, like some Jordans..

a new jacket..

and a Cadillac Escalade escort with all his friends to the bowling alley..

what I don’t get is why she still using a disposable camera after buying all that gear! Hm..

Meanwhile, at the bowling alley, it gets ugly. Frankie doesn’t want to go because she hates the fact that Neffe buys stuff for a kid that isn’t even her’s. Yikes. Touchy stuff here..

So while Neffe’s waits, she gets impatient and walks outside, cussing out everything in sight, Frankie shows up:

And as they argue inside, Frankie, in an attempt to reconcile being late, walks over to her grandchildren to say hello, and let’s just say she wasn’t expecting the response she received. Being late to your own families outings on purpose doesn’t get you hugs from your grandkids, Frankie!

So of course, Frankie is pissed and leaves. But you’ll have to see it to see how it all goes down, reader!

These two women have a LONG way to go on the road to being functional again. Stay tuned for recaps of episodes 5 and 6!

I love the trip to family dollar. It keeps those businesses running and we need that. At least I do anyway. I am a serious Dollar Tree Shopper. They always have great deals on decorations for the holidays without slamming your budget.
