Double Goose Jackets: The Answer to Any Winter Situation
Double Goose Jackets have been around since the 80’s, and have graced some classic hip hop albums and single covers:

and some of hip hop’s finest still wear them to this day, like Common:

More important are the people who created this brand: Manu, Julien & Thomas are from Paris, from the same North East neighborhood. They share the same background and love for street cultures.
As they witnessed the hip hop movement emerge in Paris in the early 80’s, they were surrounded by a plethora of great writers, MCs and dancers.

Because of this background and fashion’s deep connection to hip hop, the beauty of the Double Goose jacket has been seen on artists such as Rakim (Eric B. & Rakim “Move the Crowd”) and Run DMC, (“Raising Hell” album cover) as shown above.
The difference with a Double Goose jacket is the “secret formula” as they describe it, which gives the puff effect and “muscle” look. When you’re wearing a Double Goose jacket, you feel as if you were wearing a bulletproof vest.
Some say the jacket should be worn snug to embrace and silhouette the body. But some people want to wear them a little oversized. It really depends on how YOU like to wear it.
Double Goose recently had a opening party for their pop-up store in NYC. Hey Double Goose peeps, how about giving SoJones a shoutout next time, we’ll gladly drink your gin & juice :)
Needless to say, prices are in the expensive price range, but trust me when I say if you buy one of these, you probably won’t need another coat for a while. Visit the Double Goose store here.

The new ones are'nt the same as the original Goose Country, Double Goose Country and Adam Spencer jackets. The stitching on the arms, cuffs and waistband is different. They are also made with lambskin. Lambskin tears easy. The originals were a thin durable cowskin. Much more sturdy.

The original were made in pigskin, not cowskin. It's stronger than lambskin but it's a cheap leather.
