South Carolina Drug Bust Leaves 2,000 Lbs of Marijuana… Up in Smoke

Oh, this is so sad. Just legalize it already, America! Ok, end of rant… A drug bust in Richland County, South Carolina last week ended up reaping 2,000 pounds of marijuana, two pounds of cocaine and a grip of cash money. The drugs were discovered after some moron got caught driving around with 40 pounds of pot in Greenville.

Sweet Mary Jane…

Deputies arrested 23-year-old Celso Vasquez after he tried to run out of the house as investigators were coming in. According to Bossip:

Officers found 2,000 pounds of marijuana, and a little more than two pounds of cocaine. “Today was kind of a fun day. We got the cash, we got the guns, we got the bad guy, we got the dope. Tomorrow starts the hard work, where you gotta have deputies and SLED agents and police officers with feet on the ground. We’ve got a lot of information to run down,” says Capt. Roger Heaton.

The search started yesterday when a traffic stop in Greenville turned into about 40 pounds of marijuana being discovered. “The officers didn’t drop it and let it go right there, they went ahead and continued the investigation, continued to develop information,” says Heaton.

Law enforcement were then led to a home on Roberson Street, along with Richland County deputies and City of Columbia police. Authorities believe those drugs, along with the three duffel bags full of cash, are a wake-up call to our state. “When we talk about the mexican drug war, it’s impacting us here. It’s impacting here in the Columbia area every single day,” says Sheriff Leon Lott.

2K of MJ, confiscated and soon to be destroyed. What a WASTE. All the money we spend on “the war on drugs” could be better spent on health programs, education, environmental cleanup. Do you think marijuana should be legalized, reader? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments!

They consider this a victory but the reality is, this bust does not even scratch the surface. America is tired of the wasted funds on this failed war on drugs. It is time to tax and REGULATE marijuana!

What a bunch of hoo-hah cops that have to continue down the moronic path of prohibition just to make themselves feel good about themselves, all for nothing. Cannabis is here to stay, always has been, always will be. The stuff needs to be legal, and soon. America needs to wake up!

To "carolinachick": What the fuck is a "wud" and a "wudnt"??? Your shitty spelling is aiding in the decline of the English language into an idiotic mess. Please, people, if you want to call out for pot legalization, can't you at least show the world that you've got some sense and intellect and use proper spelling and grammar? Shit like "wud" just shows you're a 16 year old. At least TRY to make yourself look mature.

One need not travel to China to find indigenous cultures lacking human rights. America leads the world in percentile behind bars, thanks to ongoing persecution of hippies, communists, and non-whites under prosecution of the war on drugs. If we’re all about spreading liberty abroad, then why mix the message at home? Peace on the home front would enhance global credibility.

The drug czar’s Rx for prison fodder costs dearly, as lives are flushed down expensive tubes. My shaman’s second opinion is that psychoactive plants are God’s gift. Behold, it’s all good. When Eve ate the apple, she knew a good apple, and an evil prohibition. Canadian Marc Emery is being extradited to prison for selling seeds that American farmers use to reduce U. S. demand for Mexican pot.

The CSA (Controlled Substances Act of 1970) reincarnates Al Capone, endangers homeland security, and throws good money after bad. Fiscal policy burns tax dollars to root out the number-one cash crop in the land, instead of taxing sales. Society rejected the plague of prohibition, but it mutated. Apparently, SWAT teams don’t need no stinking amendment.

Nixon passed the CSA on the false assurance that the Schafer Commission would later justify criminalizing his enemies, but he underestimated Schafer’s integrity. No amendments can assure due process under an anti-science law without due process itself. Psychology hailed the breakthrough potential of LSD, until the CSA shut down research, and pronounced that marijuana has no medical use. Former U.K. chief drugs advisor Prof. Nutt was sacked for revealing that non-smoked cannabis intake is scientifically healthy.

The RFRA (Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993) allows Native American Church members to eat peyote, which functions like LSD. Americans shouldn’t need a specific church membership or an act of Congress to obtain their birthright freedom of religion. God’s children’s free exercise of religious liberty may include entheogen sacraments to mediate communion with their maker.

Freedom of speech presupposes freedom of thought. The Constitution doesn’t enumerate any governmental power to embargo diverse states of mind. How and when did government usurp this power to coerce conformity? The Mayflower sailed to escape coerced conformity. Legislators who would limit cognitive liberty lack jurisdiction.

Common-law holds that adults are the legal owners of their own bodies. The Founding Fathers undersigned that the right to the pursuit of happiness is inalienable. Socrates said to know your self. Mortal lawmakers should not presume to thwart the intelligent design that molecular keys unlock spiritual doors. Persons who appreciate their own free choice of path in life should tolerate seekers’ self-exploration. Liberty is prerequisite for tracking drug-use intentions and outcomes.

Can a 15 year old girl busted in South Carolina for 10 grams of crack, 16oz of pot o to jail? Our friend has a daughter that was caught up with a 30 year old man, we think he got her on those drugs and selling them for him. They were busted in a hotel making crack, she was taken to the jail then released to her mom. But is January she was sent papers solication, possession, manufacturing and they found scales in her trunk. Since she has failed 2 drug test, claiming her grandmother gave her medicine for head akes,, we all know thats not the case. But will they put her in jail at the hearing?

………………………………….. This almost made me cry, but why would you ever need that much at one time. That's a lot of marijuana. Plus the cocaine didn't help what an idiot. Also if they ever do decide to legalize it everywhere in america i don't think that much is going to be a legal amount unless it's like an entire company or something, but all that wonderful blessed hemp all gone to waste for nothing this is the saddest story iv'e heard in the last couple of years. R.I.P my love we'll miss you.

thats enough weed to have an oz blunt everyday for 87 and a half years lol. ps give it 5 years and it will be legal. america's moving on from the war on drugs and is currently distracting the population with the war on terror, they can now use terror instead of drugs as an excuse to spend $200 billion a year on stuff that doesnt benefit the country in any way. peace out :)
