So you wish that there were streetwear brands to go with your top of the line sneaks but don’t take away your sense of originality.

Introduce yourself and describe how your brand was started?
My name is Mike J. I’m the owner and founder of Sneaker Headz/Sneaker Chic Clothing. The company like most companies started out as an idea and then grew step by step. We match exclusive, rare, or hard to match general release kicks and we pride ourselves on having original designs and ideas that are like no other.
Describe this season’s theme for your line. Include any sources of inspiration!
This seasons theme is like all of our themes which is independence. We always want to make sure we have something for everyone. A lot of our designs are inspired by the overall sneaker/hip-hop culture which is cocky, confident, fresh, and independent.

Any product placements on celebs to keep an eye out for?
Keep an eye out for Tay Dizm (Dream Girl ft. Akon/Beam me up ft. Rick Ross/Point em out ft. Shawnna.) and the whole Nappy Boy Click (T-pains Label) as well as actress/model Natasha Yi, Twista and many more.
What has been a surprise fashion hit over the last year?
As far as Sneaker Headz/Sneaker Chic I pretty much know what’s gonna be hot and what our customers like but as for other brands I would say T.I.T.S. I would say them simply because who would of thought so many people would want naked women on a shirt. I think someone who gets P*&^y wouldn’t need to wear it on a shirt but that’s what makes the creator of the brand a pioneer in my eyes because he did something no one else was or would do and it worked, that’s what it’s all about.
What current fashion trend would you like to see thrown overboard?
I’m not a hater and fashion is all about opinion so I don’t down anything but if I had to pick I would say skinny jeans. I know I’m taking on an entire army with that statement but let me clear it up. Fitted jeans meaning not baggy but just right is perfect, but when your jeans are tighter then your girlfriend’s we have a problem and when you are sagging not because you want to but because that’s as far as you could get your jeans up we have a problem. Men are supposed to have certain body parts that would make it hard and uncomfortable to wear jeans so tight they look painted on but maybe that’s just me. Once again not hating but you asked so I answered.
What is/was one of your most prized fashion pieces, past or present?
The Green/red/white Expensive Taste Tee I came out with. I wore that with my matching creative recs at my first Sneaker Pimps trade show booth.
TuPac or Biggie?
I like both of them. I would say Tupac as a person went through a variety of things which gave him more dimension, but as far as lyrically Biggie was a beast especially when it came to punch lines.
