Anticipating the back to school season, Collective Licensing International announced their launch of the Vision Street Wear brand, consisting of exclusive styles that will debut at Finish Line on August 1st 2009. After three decades of maintaining popularity among skateboarders, Vision Street Wear is still one of the most original and authentic street wear brands to emerge from the skateboarding fashion explosion in the early 90’s. In celebration of its three decades as the pioneer of street wear culture, Vision Street Wear will present a collection adorned with modern designs but with legendary silhouettes from its historical archives.

Fans of the brand can find Vision Street Wear at renowned retailer, Finishline, starting August 2009. Finishline operates 687 stores in 47 states and online. Finishline Sam Sato, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandise Officer at Finishline stated:
“Finish Line is always looking for fresh and innovative brands that will resonate with our customers, and once we saw the direction and design that INA and CLI put together, we wanted to act upon it in a big way.”
CLI as the owner of Vision Street Wear worldwide are thrilled in starting this cooperation with Finishline. Bruce Pettet, President and CEO of Collective Licensing International confirms his excitement.
“Working closely with our licensees like this insures that we have the very best product representing the true essence of the brand. Furthermore, we will craft a powerful, directed marketing program that supports our partners’ goals and stokes our consumers’ passion for Vision.”
INA have signed a licensing agreement with CLI last year for the Vision Street Wear brand, covering the North, Central and South America territories.
“Clearly we are thrilled to have such a fine retailer as Finish Line on board. We are equally excited about the reception from the independent sneaker boutiques and fashion retailers within the rest of our territory,” said Jonathan Carter, VP Footwear for INA.
Vision Street Wear has been a strong influence for youngsters and modern pop culture since its first debut in 1976. The brand has featured pop culture icons in their promo ads, from legendary skateboarder Mark “Gonz” Gonzales to punk rocker Lars Fredriksen of Punk Rock Band, Rancid. Vintage promo posters of the brand are currently considered antique collectibles.
