Rapper Kid Sister To Re-Interpret Jungle Brothers Song For Reebok Classic Remix Collection
Melisa Young a.k.a. rapper Kid Sister is partnering up with world-famous shoe brand Reebok, in celebration of the Reebok Classic Remix Collection. Reebok partners up with today’s top emerging hip hop artists to re-interpret an original, influential 80s or 90s song to be distributed exclusively with the purchase of styles from the Reebok Classic Remix collection, including women’s Straptastic and SK 7000 and men’s LS Ease and Work-Out Mid, exclusively at Foot Locker.
Kid Sister, who’s best known for her single “Pro Nails” which featured Kanye West, will be re-interpreting classic song “I’ll House You” by Jungle Brothers in this collection, and become the second artist in the series to re-interpret a classic song. The Reebok Classic Remix collection launched in March 2009 with Kidz in The Hall re-interpreting “I Got It Made” by Special Ed. The song came with a music video, all supported by Reebok, and was launched at the Foot Locker Times Square in New York City.

Kid Sister’s re-interpretation of the Jungle Brothers track will be available on April 21st, 2009 for download exclusively to customers who purchase styles from the Reebok Classic Remix collection, at Foot Locker stores nationwide. This is not the only style and color ways from the Collection, as Reebok has tapped several new artists and re-interpreted songs. B.o.B. will be next in line.

This is not Kid Sister’s first fashion-related activity. Following the footsteps of her mentor, Kanye West, Kid Sister signed a deal with a female street wear company, Married to The Mob to model for its spring 2009 collection. Married to the M.O.B (Most Official Bitches) is a clothing line created by a former troubled teenager named Leah McSweeney, who wants to provide women with great-looking street wear clothes. Married to the M.O.B. currently provides trendy apparel for ’street-smart tomboys’ to ‘couture-heeled and skinny-jean-wearing’ ladies. The ladies urban-clothing brand has also worked with Reebok on limited edition items.
