Air Wear NYC Showcase Exclusive

Air Wear NYC out of Brooklyn, NYC has finally went into major operations. Opening it’s new location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Urb1 got the chance to go out to their summer release showcasing and view what was coming new first hand. Al, owner of Air Wear NYC, and big supporter of Urb1 as well as it’s visitors said he wanted everyone on the site to get a chance to see what he’s releasing before the rest of the world gets their hands on it.

What new releases were there? Well, being the top company of hiphop airbrushing a lot say, Air Wear released a new tribute to Aaliyah shirt, which improved on the facial structuring of the princess of R&B. It gave the more common look a lot were looking for.

A lot of people were asking for Tupac & Biggie on the same shirt. Half of each artist’s face made into one, thinking the 2 faces wouldn’t look right on one shirt. Air Wear not only put both artists faces seperately on the shirt, but the design was made perfect through the addition of rhine stones to give a life-like animation to the shirt.

Kan’Ye West, who got a Tupac t-shirt from Air Wear at the Magic Show in Las Vegas during his performance, was honored at the showcasing, with his own Air Wear shirt, as a tribute to his success. With Kan’Ye’s known arrogant attitude, it’s almost guaranteed he’ll show up with the shirt on later in some magazine or video. What cocky emcee can avoid a shirt with a picture of himself?

Button down shirts with the previous Air Wear air brush designs were also on showcase. Sitting on top of the inside office structuring was a Michael Jordan button down, with him flashing his collection of NBA championship rings as well as two button downs of Brooklyn born and raised rapper, Notorious BIG. Al, the owner of Air Wear NYC, sported a button down of Jay-Z himself. The design on the shirt was his black friday tribute to the Rocafella artist’s retirement releases day.

New features on all of the shirts included the coloring of the jewelry designs and rhine stone placement where extra bling was needed. The shirts are high in hiphop fashion animation which most designers lack to even touch. This brings a sense of high quality and custom feeling to each piece from Air Wear NYC you add to your wardrobe.

In attendance to the event were many people as the showcasing lasted from 7 PM to until around 4 AM. Urb1 took photos and posted them on the Urb1.com photo captions page. Record labels, store owners, and guests from Detroit (MI), all over NY, New Jersey, and other states were in attendance as Air Wear NYC is expected to be one of the biggest hiphop fashion trends to blow out of control this summer. Already large in NYC, the name has been catching on quickly as artists from 50 cent to LL Cool J to Harlem Diplomat, Cam’ron have worn Air Wear’s designs on BET’s 106 & Park, tv appearances, and for magazine photo shoots.
