Sean John Clothing Flagship Store 1st Black Owned Business On 5th Ave NYC

The long-awaited Sean John flagship store on 41st and Fifth Avenue is barreling toward Fashion Week’s August 29th kick off in New York City.

“At least 50 people a day stop by the construction site to ask when we are going to be open. It’s exciting to be a part of such a highly anticipated project,” says Greg Anderson of InSite Development, Inc. whose company was hired by Sean John to assemble the launch of their retail stores.

“The Sean John brand crosses fashion barriers to add an upscale panache to urban-influenced dress. The Sean John store, like the line, infuses its street roots with the quality of a Madison Avenue boutique to reflect the timeless style of New York City. Sean John is looking forward to giving its existing customer base a fresh perspective on their classic style while reaching out to a new set of trendsetters with its new street presence.”

Charles Soriano, V.P. of Retail for Sean John said, “InSite Development has added tremendous value to our retail development process, beginning with the environmental branding stage and continuing with the overall design, planning and construction phases. We anticipate an incredible response from our customers, old and new. This is an amazing period for our company and everyone will be very surprised with the new Image of Sean John. We are currently working on a number of exciting projects, including the premiere of 475 Fifth Avenue. We have spent considerable time developing proprietary product categories for this store. In addition to our current clothing lines, we will also offer a full range of sunglasses, men’s accessories, small leather goods, fragrances, men’s grooming products and an exclusive line of home decor and accessories.”

Los Angeles based investment firm Yucaipa Cos. LLC’s Ron Burkle has invested $100 million in the Sean John clothing line, which according to the New York Post, grossed about $300 million last year in sales.

Aside from his duties as music producer, rapper, and prince of parties, P.Diddy will continue as chairman and chief executive of Sean John.
