Lil Kim Announces Shes Launching Hollyhood Clothing

Lil Kim, the Notorious K.I.M., or the Queen Bee, whichever you like to call her, has always displayed a bold fashion sense. Bringing bright colors on the Hip Hop fashion scene back when the “Crush On You” video out and then representing Old Navy in 2004 commercials, she’s had a very versatile fashion-life.

In 2005, the Queen Bee wants to take things a step further in launching her own clothing line labeled “HollyHood”. It will be one of the first Hip Hop artist designed labels to debut with such a wide retail valued array of pieces. She hopes to appeal to a massive crowd with her average retail line that ranges from $25 to $200. However, the Queen hopes to reach the high fashion crowd with her more exclusive collection that will range from $75 to $2,000.

I’ve always expressed my love for fashion through my music. Hollyhood is a label for those who believe in my philosophy that there are n rules when it comes to fashion— its about having fun and choosing to dress in a way that makes you feel good, Lil Kim said in a statement to the media.

The launch of this line comes after Lil Kim’s launching of her “Royalty” watches in 2004. A limited watch collection of diamond covered time pieces that were the epitome of it’s name when it came down to quality and product casing.
