Dunkxchange Sneaker Show Launches At 4pm In Las Vegas

New York, NY. (February 14, 2007) — Sneakers, a common thread that ties fashion and sports together, will be the highlight of Dunkxchange Las Vegas. The exclusive sneaker trade show will hit Vegas on Friday as the Magic Show ends and All-Star Weekend gets started.

Sneakers have long been thought of as a sports shoe but over the last 30 years Hip-Hop and skateboarding cultures have helped sneakers to become fashion statements. Today we can find magazines, movies, websites, and books devoted solely to sneakers. In the last few years the internet has played a pivotal role in growth and communication of sneaker fanatics but now Dunkxchange brings the internet blogs and trading world alive with their traveling show. The trade show works as an easy in-person hub for those who are used to going to great lengths to locate legitimate rare and vintage sneakers.

The special All-Star Edition of Dunkxchange will take place on Friday February 16th from 4-8pm at University Patio located at 4724 S. Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas. Sponsors include Akademiks, Female Sneaker Fiend, Palis, Rebel Aire, and Sneak Tip. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Early arrival is strongly recommended. For more information please contact Curtis Brown (714)420-2028 or Gary Hughes (714)809-2006. They can both be reached by email at dunkxchange@hotmail.com

Dunkxchange began after Gary Hughes had spent over a thousand dollars purchasing counterfeit sneakers on-line. Knowing that the sneaker community was ever expanding and being taken advantage of he began Dunkxchange. He made it his mission to create a space where people could buy and sell rare, vintage, and customized sneakers face to face. Two years later the event has grown nationally and now travels the country with monthly expos. Non-sneaker media outlets have been amazed by the numbers that have consistently turned out in New York, San Francisco, LA, and Las Vegas to show how deep their love for sneakers goes. Due to the success and demand Chicago and Miami are being added as new cities this year. To view the full calendar of events please visit: www.dunkxchange.com or www.myspace.com/dunkxchange.
