Sean John Rumored To Have Fired Jeff Tweedy

It’s being rumored that Sean (Puffy) Combs has just fired the head of his clothing label Sean John in a continuing shakeup of his Bad Boy empire. Jeff Tweedy, who ran the line from its inception six years ago, was axed Friday, February 4th.
While official types say the split was amicable, an insider tells us: “Puff has had his beady little eyes out after he moved all his offices into one building, and he has seen a lot of things he doesn’t like. One of them was Jeff Tweedy.”
This comes on the heels of a rift between Combs and Bad Boy Chief Management Officer Jameel Spencer, who recently left the company.
And this week, Random House sued Combs for the $300,000 advance the publisher paid for a memoir he never wrote.

Bad Boy Records has come out with only one hit in the past year – the soundtrack to the movie “Bad Boys II.” Releases from Loon, Carl Thomas and Mase fell way short of expectations, The News’ Phyllis Furman reported.
Puffy initially turned down an offer from Warner Bros. chief Lyor Cohen to sell half his stake in the record company to Warner for $30 million because he didn’t want to give up any pieces of the pie.
But now he has come back to the table and may have to let Cohen have half.
