Jay-Z To Rock 5 Concerts In July 2009: Tickets Available NOW

Hip hop superstar and mogul, Jay-Z,  is returning to the concert arena for 5 special shows in Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta and the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. Fan exclusive pre-sale tickets are available beginning Wednesday, May 13th at 12 noon local venue time.

Concert dates are the following:

July 3rd, 2009 – Pearl Concert Theater – Las Vegas, NV
July 4th, 2009 – Pearl Concert Theater – Las Vegas, NV
July 7th, 2009 – Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island – Chicago, IL
July 10th, 2009 – Mohegan Sun Arena – Uncasville, CT
July 12th, 2009 – Chastain Park Amphitheatre- Atlanta, GA

Jay-Z is kicking this July tour off with R&B singer, Ciara, who’s also a spokesmodel for Rocawear. Ciara will be Jay-Z’s supporting act, and has confirmed her involvement in the tour via her Twitter account:

“I will say it because the information has been leaked… me and Jay-Z will be going a 10-city tour run together! More details coming soon!”

Although his most recent album is the 2007 released “American Gangster”, Jay-Z is actually promoting is upcoming album titled “The Blueprint 3″ which is tentatively scheduled to be released in September 2009. The album is a follow-up album to “The Blueprint” which was released in 2001 and “The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse” which was released in 2002.

In other Jay-Z news, his wife, Mrs. Carter a.k.a. Beyonce has reportedly earned multiple nominations at the 2009 BET Awards including a double nod in the Video of the Year category for her hit songs “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)”, Female R&B Artist of the Year and Best Actress honors.
