Rap Artist Juelz Santana Starts His Own Fashion Show For Harlem

In fashion last year, Juelz Santana stood out as the fashion prince of Rocafella rap group, The Harlem Diplomats. The streets loved his hip hop fashion swagger, styling, and creativity.
While there was alot of love, most didn’t even realize that what Juelz Santana wears is not picked by Laron “Juelz Santana” James.
In fact, SoJones did a little research and found out there are quite a few stylist in the background behind the Harlem artist’s swagger, which include mother, Deborah James, and lifetime friends, ‘NewTees’ fashion.
If you aren’t familiar with New Tees, they are who designed the “splattered paint” t-shirts that Juelz Santana wore in the “Gangsta Music”, music video. The store itself is located in Harlem, New York on Amsterdam Ave currently. However, Santana’s mother Deborah told SOJONES.COM that they have plans to upgrade and move into a larger space where they can sell more fashion products and provide a better floor layout.
Beyond his retail store businesss, Juelz will also be throwing his 1st hiphop fashion show at Harlem, NYC’s Wilson Majors Morris Community Center. For those looking to attend, the event will be on May 1st (2004). ‘Wilson Majors’ can be found at 459 West 152nd Street, between Amsterdam and St. Nicholas Avenue.
The fashion show will feature many different clothing lines. New Tees Fashion, Ms D Design, Mejoon, Rocawear, Pelle Pelle, Ecko Red, Bashy, and Aja Imani are just some of the names scheduled to appear in the show.
