Snoop Signs To Pony

Just when you thought every hot rapper had a shoe, everyone realizes one was missed. What happened to our old rap veteran Snoop Dogg?

That’s right, Snoop Doggy Dogg aka the Doggfather, ex-gangsta turned hippie turned pimp, has inked a deal with the Pony shoe company. After getting collective details Urb1 found Snoop will not only have one shoe, but he will indeed have a multiple shoe collection labeled the “one and only” collection.

Known for rocking California’s shoe, the Chuck Taylors, Snoop’s much expected to present a California flavored shoe design with a pony’s style guiding.

While Urb1 got no definate information on ad campaigning or release dates, AllHipHop.com reports revealed the ad campaigns are currently being produced. They also reported that the release date of the shoe is for 2005 in limited numbers.

With Snoop never truly being involved with setting a fashion trend, this will definately be an interesting event. Blue coloring, 5 leaft symbols, and all of that are expectations of the shoe but Pony promises it to be different. “Pony is committed to matching Snoop’s high standards in everything we do under this incredible partnership and it is clear by his exclusive commitment to us that he has confidence in our ability to do so,” Datta said.

Snoop himself, who just signed with the Neptune’s record label “Star Trek”, promises to bring a shoe that will differ from every other rapper’s shoe out. Not making any names with this statement, it’s great to see Snoop is trying to break that “just change the label on the shoe and put my name on it” mold!
