Jameel Spencer To Become Chief Brand Strategist Of Roc Brands

Roc Brands chairman and CEO Damon Dash has announced the appointment of Jameel Spencer to the newly created position of chief brand strategist. Spencer will oversee all marketing activities for Rocawear, ProKeds, Team Roc, Armadale Vodka, State Property, Roc Digital, Rachel Roy, C Ronson, Tiret Watches, America Magazine, Dash Films, and Damon Dash’s personal brand.
Spencer joins Roc from Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group where he served as chief marketing officer and president/partner of Blue Flame Marketing. He was named to Crain’s NY Business “40 under 40″ list, and is considered to be one of the leading authorities on youth/urban trends. Spencer has been a proven marketer for a variety of industries.
Before joining Bad Boy, Spencer was the national music and entertainment director for Vanguarde Media, where he also served as executive director Impact Super Summit XIV. Prior joining Vanguarde, Spencer held the position of national sales director for Vibe and Blaze magazines.
