Chilly-O Clothing Launches Into 3 Boutiques

After branding itself as “The clothing line that is hard to get, but easy when you know how,” Chilly-O Clothing has partnered with three signature boutiques,which have become the first- ever retailers of the popular underground line.

The brand which has become a favorite for artists and tastemakers like Big Boi, Ludacris, and The Aphiliates, to name a few, is now available at P Valentine, Tease and USA Boutique in Atlanta. Even URB1.COM’s founder was seen wearing Chilly-O’s signature light bulb t-shirt during the MAGIC fashion convention in Las Vegas; February 2006.

In a little over a year’s time, Chilly-O Clothing has developed quite a reputation among Atlanta’s taste making elite. The line – which currently consists of couture shirts, with a line of Jeans coming Fall 2007 – is now synonymous with the young power players of the city’s art, fashion and music communities. And that level of popularity was attained simply through word of mouth and the hard work of designer Chilly-O, who at one point sold his exclusive line of shirts out of the trunk of his car.

The addition of these three signature retailers will only help to expand the buzz as the brand itself grows.

The stores are centrally located in Atlanta’s trendy Downtown and Little Five Points sections at the following addresses: P Valentine at 572 Edgewood Ave, NE; Tease at 1166 Euclid Ave., NE; and USA Boutique at 200 Upper Alabama Street, Suite 292.

The decision to make Chilly-O Clothing more available was a simple one for Chilly-O. “The amount of support and recognition we’ve gotten since I launched this line is incredible,” founder Omar Mitchell says. “Now I feel like the time has come to put it out there, so it’s easier for people to find.”

Chilly-O’s sense of timing could not be more accurate, as confirmed by his recent Dirty Awards nomination as Designer of The Year. He hopes to extend the line’s impact on the fashion world with the presentations made at the February 2006 Magic Apparel and Fashion Show in Las Vegas, NV.

Chilly-O is a quality driven company that creates mature fashions for a growing multicultural, cross-generational urban audience. A few pieces from Chilly-O’s line can be seen in the upcoming issue of URB1 Magazine. To be released in April (2006), Chilly-O is featured in the Urban & Hip Hop fashions focused magazine as the “Got Next”, feature clothing line. URB1 did a live photo shoot that embraced Atlanta’s exploding rap culture scene and found Chilly-O to be one of the street’s most demanded lines.
