Downtown Locker Room Expands To North Carolina

DLTR, a chain of trendy urban lifestyle stores, has opened a location at Four Seasons Town Centre in Greensboro.
The 4,000-square-foot store is the first in the state.
Our goal for Greensboro and for all of our stores is to tap into the increasing popularity of the urban lifestyle and place ourselves where our customers want us to be, said Glenn Gaynor, president and chief operating officer of Levtran Enterprises, which owns the store. By offering the latest menswear, footwear and music trends in an atmosphere our customers can call their own, we are ensuring our place as the top urban retailer in the area.
DTLR focuses on fashion and footwear inspired by urban culture and music. Its stores offer a wide selection of designer lines, including Enyce, Akademiks, Rocawearand Luxe-T. In addition to clothing, the Four Seasons DTLR carries CDs from top-selling hip-hop, rap and R&B artists.
Parent company Levtran also operates Downtown Locker Room and Athletic Warehouse stores; it has 46 stores in the south and mid-Atlantic.

The city of Greensboro is part of the North Carolina Triad metro region. In 2004, the US Census reported the area to have a registered population of around 3 million people. Since then, Greensboro, Raleigh, and Winstom-Salem, the 3 main cities within the Triad region, have become three of the fastest growing cities in the United States.
The Urban and Hip Hop lifestyle have long been known to hold a heavy presence in both Carolinian states, but North Carolina especially. Other stores such as DEMO, The Lark, Underground Station, and Tantrum have found much success in North Carolina, sponging the profits from highly demanded Urban brands.
URB1’s two publications, URB1.COM and URB1 Magazine (URB1MAG.COM) hold heavy prescence in the Carolinas. Looking to throw it’s 2nd Hip Hop Fashion Event in Greenville (SC) or Charlotte (NC) during 2006, welcome stores such as Downtown Locker Room, Underground Station, and Tantrum to the states the business calls home.
