Beanie Sigel Gives Away State Property Clothing

Beanie Sigel visited two Philly neighborhoods last Thursday, raising a ruckus and handing out at least $10,000 in new clothes from Rocawear and his own State Property clothing line.

Arriving almost two hours late, Sigel first visited the Waterview Recreation Center in Germantown, where fans continually broke out of what was a poor imitation of an orderly line, and pressed Sigel and fellow rapper Freeway for autographs, clothes and handshakes.

The whole thing ended around 7 p.m. near the corner of 20th and Mifflin in South Philadelphia, where the rapper, his entourage and hundreds of fans spilled into the streets, blocking traffic and bringing out the cops.

Beanie Sigel’s State Property clothing line is a sub-branch of Rocawearwhich the artist started in 2003. Since starting, Sigel has also acquired a series of “SP” pro-keds which have been labeled as “sure to improve in demand by 2005″ by some fashion advisers involved with Urb1.

Sigel is currently in a misfortunate situation. After helping many young Philadelphia youth find a future in hiphop, gun charges were brought fourth against the rising Rocafella Hiphop star. Whether this was a true statement or a false claim from someone not liking what Beanie was doing with Philly’s urban community, his fate will be determined in October.
