Streetwear Spotlight: Copy Collection + GIVEAWAY
Another well-designed Streetwear has hit SoJones’ inbox a couple of weeks ago, and today we proudly showcase the best from the line and sits down with the creative mind behind COPY Collection. If you’re into Japanese styles in streetwear, watch what happens when it’s mixed with the vintage sportswear feel. SoJones talks to Murphy of Copy and digs out what the brand is all about.
Introduce yourself and describe how your brand was started?
Hello my name is Murphy. I developed Copy so I would have a completely creative outlet. I have been designing apparel, accessories and graphics in the street and action sports industry since 1999. I started my career as an intern and moved up to Creative Director at Perry Ellis for Redsand. Throughout my career, I traveled all over the world, and lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and now in Orange County. It was while I was traveling that I got the idea to create my own brand.
This year Copy joined forces with Four Star Distribution, they own the apparel skate brand, C1RCA, and together we are developing and growing Copy- it is a really exciting time for the brand.
Describe this season’s theme for your line. Include any sources of inspiration (examples: 80′s punk, muses like Amber Rose, 70′s disco bands, Run DMC, etc)
Vintage sportswear and surfwear, plus a touch of Japanese street wear.
Any product placements on celebs to keep an eye out for (examples: publicity photos, magazines, movies, music videos etc).

Not too keen on the pics. I do like Japanese streetwear though and often can be found dashing in and out of Uniqlo. Think they've got the best <a rel="follow" href="http://www.uniqlo.co.uk/catalogue/men/polo-t-shirts">polo t-shirts for the price.
