Alex and Chloe is the ultimate authority when it comes to eccentric, stylish, yet reasonably-priced jewelry, accessories and shirts. Its funky jewelries are in stark contrast to its designer(s)  who likes the recluse.

The shy designer, who takes ‘Alex and Chloe’ as his alias, drew inspiration for his very first necklace collection (Shadow and Light) from the “idea of only taking silhouettes of people and translating them into shadows for necklaces,” he explained in his Refinery29.com interview.

Alex and Chloe has masterfully combined the elements of popular media such as acrylic and metal pendants adorning iconographs and symbols with traditional jewelry pieces such as gold, silver, and beautiful stones. Its trademark are unique jewelries that combine high couture with modern yet simple aesthetics. The end result is usually a jewelry that makes a strong impact – bold, eclectic, beautiful, intelligent, comedic, and of course – wearable.

Alex and Chloe is also known for its ’smart’ references to famous fashion icons such as “Coco is Dead” (reference of course to Coco Chanel) and “Kate the only Moss in our woods” (inspired by Kate Moss) necklace.

Where others make a lethal combination with such adventurous designs, Alex and Chloe jewelry continues to succeed in drawing the line between taste and uniqueness. As the designer puts it, “I think people, guys and girls, can be much more adventurous when it comes to wearing accessories—they can be at little more fashion-forward and get away with it.”

With the great reception it has received locally and internationally, Alex and Chloe followed up with its second collection, entitled “From Our Neck of the Woods.”

The brand takes pride in its unique statement jewelries and accessories, which span from bracelets, necklaces, earrings, brooches, rings, sunglasses and eyewear. One of its famous jewelries include its ‘Square’ wedding rings – which deviate from the traditional circular ring by having edges. Although unique, Alex and Chloe’s unique wedding rings retain what every girl likes – princess cut inverted white diamonds.

Another patron favorite is its recent jewelry collection entitled “Tar” which features pieces which are ‘beautiful and odd’. The jewelries are inspired by objects found in the depth of the earth and sea and blackened in ‘Tar’ hung in antique brass chain.

Stunning Alex and Chloe apparel are also chronicled in its phenomenal clothing collection, Fall 2009’s “Forever and Never,” which featured hip shirts such as ‘Invisible Angel,’ ‘Disconnected Inverted Triangle,’ ‘Maison D’ Forever and Never,’ ‘Infinitely Forever and Never,’ ‘Stalagmites,’ ‘Turning Invisible / Transformer,’ ‘Sideswiped,’ ‘The New Americana,’ and ‘Laced,’ a collaboration between Alex and Chloe and Brian Lichtenberg. Like its jewelries and accessories, Alex and Chloe clothing dote on minimalism, bold figures and strong hints of color.
