Cerbae War Slogan T-shirt

Fear doesn’t go away. The warrior and the artist live by the same code of necessity which dictates that the battle must be fought anew everyday in everyway, even in everything that you wear.” -Unknown

This warrior-like mentality or War of Art embodies the essence of the Cerbae clothing line because it also invokes the spirit of being a true warrior to the brands entire collection. Right down to their logo – which is a single drop of blood with the letter C in the middle of it – this brand is true to this mentality.

The Cerbae clothing company began as a side project a few years ago for the Bay area native Nathan Kohrs. Nathan wanted to design a refine set of urban street wear for the global hip-hop community from the United States to Japan. Therefore, with the help of some of the local graphic artists, Nathan began building his brand, through commissioned and personalized products under the Cerbae name. Cerbae is worn and endorse by many different artists and media outlets like Slam Magazine, BMX Plus, Monster O, Twista, Snoop, Three6 Mafia, Ne-yo, BMX Pros Josh Bentley, Eman, Rich Boy, Fat Jon, Japan’s Force of Nature, and The Beat Freaks from MTV’s ABDC (America’s Best Dance Crew). Cerbae Clothing line contains an assortment of different products from graphic T’s to embroider and screen-printed jeans to colorful hoodies. You can even commission personalized hand painted and transfer products. However, the spring 2009 collection is unique from the previous years, where Nathan Kohrs tended to follow the latest trends within the street wear genre. Now, the Cerbae Company has branched out from the norm with their own trend by using bold typography, bright colors, high velocity graphics, and halftone patterns, with Warfare images, and Greco-Roman motifs, giving Cerbae a fresh start for its 2009 mainstream brand.
