Murphy Martines owner of Copy Clothing
In the late nineties Copy Clothing Line started off as a personal collection for Murphy Martines. Since then it’s grown to a full-blown brand name. Martines started to develop a line that was not currently on the market, but an inspiration to someone’s closet. Copy Clothing trademark is a cross between retro-sleek and urban apparel. The name Copy Clothing is by no way a knock-off of other brands that try to thrive and survive through imitation. This clothing brand that is determined to reform urban couture. During the beginning of his brand, Martines started with simple products such as, dinos, t-shirts, and hoodies. Nowadays, Copy Clothing is turning in a very different direction by offering more items in its sportswear line as well as adding a women’s clothing line in fall 2009; offering consumers a variety to choose from in progressive silhouettes and better fabrications.
As the spring fashion season approached in 2009, Martines of Copy clothing released his spring collection earlier than other labels. This year’s spring collection infuses edgy abstract art and industrial patterns into a modernization of 90’s sportswear. Copy Clothing features a diversity of different patterns in bold and vintage faded colors, classic denims, plaids, stripes, and embroidery designs. Here is a description on some of their pieces:
