In Toronto 2007, a brand with great potential for success and fame was created by the genius of UK born and bred Andrew Randle. Andrew started out as a freelance designer and an in-house designer for a lot of other clothing lines before establishing his own. His clothing line, Darkhorse, stands for someone or something that is little known but has massive potential. It’s his secret weapon, so to speak.

Think high fashion. Think couture. Think awesome rock and roll references. Think tongue-in-cheek. Think in-your-face. Those and more are what you are going to see on these daring shirts. One of their most famous shirts includes the three fashion giants squabbling on a sexy t-shirt. This is just one of their many controversial designs that has made a comeback from seasons past. These graphics show heavy influence from Randle’s DJ background, but he also takes inspiration from his travels and his tastes in film.

Darkhorse is about more than just t-shirts; they have grown a lot in a short amount of time. They design outerwear and are even planning on adding an accessories line later this year.

Current and future collaborations include Soul II Soul, an award-winning music group from the United Kingdom, Cali’s own Dave Flores, whose Grace Jones inspired collaboration has since been featured in many fashion news sources, and Claw Money, a graffiti based clothing line in New York.

They have been featured by LTD magazine, M.I.S.S, Elle, Juxtapoz, NY magazine and Gear Crave, to name some. Their star is rising fast. Some of their endorsers include Korean R&B artist Mario and the line’s muse, Grace Jones.

Their merchandise can be found just about everywhere. Lately, they have just included Japan and Korea as two of their newest additions under their worldwide belt. If you happen to be in Berlin, Hawaii, Canada or somewhere in the United States, throw them a line and check out their clothes. You can also find them on karmaloop, or their main website www.darkhorseworld.com
