Madden brothers in DCMA

Formerly named MADE Clothing, whih was established in 2005 by Joel Madden, Benji Madden, Josh Madden and Tal Cooperman, this punk-rock clothing line has been the center of rock stars. In 2006, the clothing company’s name changed into DCMA Collective and later in the same year, their clothes became available online. From selling t-shirts, the brand has grown into producing more items and even baby clothes and may be branching into a record label.

DCMA Collective’s line can be described as dark and punk, yet quality and comfort is never out of the picture. Although their clothes usually contain rather basic colors, their designs make up for it, as the creativity and ingenious ideas and concepts of each design are very well thought out.

The collection consists of crewneck sweatshirts, long-sleeves, pull-over hoodies, loud, rocker graphic t-shirts, and dark zip-up hoodies for men. For the ladies, DCMA offers basic colored, yet brightly designed graphic tees and tank tops and cute, punk-designed hoodies. The brand also has cute baby hoodies and onesies. Aside from apparel, DCMA Collective has different styled, DCMA-logo printed caps, dark bandanas, as seen on the Madden boys, hot knuckle pendants and bracelets and high-class DCMA buckle belts. Not only that, DCMA also has their own footwear as a result of a collaboration with K-Swiss called K-DCMA, a collection of dark-colored, yet fabulously designed and made of quality material sneakers.

Being a result of the hard work of the guys of DCMA, the brand has certainly received its share of support of media and advertisement. Aside from being worn constantly by Benji and Joel Madden themselves, other celebrities wearing their line include Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton and bands like Lost Prophets, Three 6 Mafia, Escape the Fate and Avenged Sevenfold. Good Charlotte even mentioned the brand in their song, “Keep your hands off my girl” which was included in their Good Morning Revival album.

DCMA’s popularity is not just based on their founders, their continuing growing fan base is the reason why the label has distributed their clothes to retailers across the US. The first DCMA store is located in LA, California and was opened in 2008. The brand now has a second store in New York City.
