Look classic and stunning in Goorin Brothers' Crosby hat.
The year was 1895. Cassel Goorin, a visionary master craftsman, made his first hat sale off a horse cart in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Little did he know that his tiny hat venture would evolve into a century-old headwear industry named Goorin Brothers.
Cassel became famous to hat aficionados because of his ability to design special hats for each customer. He had the knack to put the right feather, sew in the correct lining, and change an entire block pattern. True enough, he made “one of a kind” hats. As the years progressed, Cassell’s sons began to look over the company’s tradition of making unique hats. When these two siblings began to take over the business, they relocated to San Francisco in 1949 and changed the name of the company to Goorin Brothers.
Fast forward to the turn of the millennium, Goorin Brothers Hats still adhere to its tradition and passion of making quality hats inspired by the rich artistic community of San Francisco. The company, now presided over by great grandson Benjamin who took the helm in 2006, continues the tradition of creating headwear which are stylish and functional.
According to Benjamin, “Hats have become such a huge part of how young people express themselves today. We have needed to evolve so much to keep up with today’s market. This is the most exciting time for our company because hats and different hat styles have become such a huge statement in today’s pop culture.”
Goorin Brothers has a number of sub-lines, including:
* Goorin Core, a modern-meets-classic hat collection for men and women. Goorin Core is famous for its vintage approach, fused with funky contemporary edge. This line is uniquely Goorin because of its expertly-crafted make, unique fabric combinations, beautiful washes, and intricate details.
* Cassel Goorin, named after the founder of the brand. This vintage line for men and women breathes an aura of distinction, as it carries an exclusive line of hats designed with Old World Details and new bold fabrics.

Vintage meets funky in Goorin Core's Mooshi Hat.
* 1333 Minna, a headwear designed by an artist/designer collective. Created in 2005, 1333 Minna is an art studio located in the Mission District of San Francisco. In this intellectual hub Goorin Brothers hats designers pour out their creative juices to create stylish hats with old-world craftsmanship. 1333 Minna Hats are famous for their unique fabric tandems, intricate embroidery, and innovative screen prints – a brand which tells a tale of form, color, and texture.
* Sand Cassel Kids, a collection of durable, fun and fashionable headwear for stylish boys and girls. Like the adult versions, Sand Cassel Kids Hats are made with high regard to quality and functionality.
Besides hats, Goorin Brothers also manufactures bags (from handbags to clutches) and accessories such as scarves, arm warmers, belts, knit gloves.
