Han Cholo aka Brandon Schoolhouse
Originating way back in the early 90s, then high school student, Han Cholo aka Brandon Schoolhouse began with his knack of creating and designing jewelries for his girlfriends. In 1995, Brandon Schoolhouse worked for the Beastie Boys wherein he’d draw Star Wars figures and other sci-fi sketches that drew the band to call him “Han Cholo”. Partnering with Guillaume Pajolec, who is a long time silversmith, Han Cholo released its first collection in 2002. With a background in LA’s music and art scene, the skateboarder, graffiti artist, DJ and jewelry maker drew his concepts and designs through rock n’ roll music, science fiction, fantasy art and hip hop culture.
From then on, this multitalented jeweler has proved his talent with producing mass-loved jewelries in artistic designs that are fresh, bold, innovative and feisty – just the type that celebrities and even the youth love to wear. Han Cholo company may have begun as a high school endeavor, but with Brandon Schoolhouse’s skills, Han Cholo became internationally known for his exceptional high quality jewelry designs.
Han Cholo began as a jewelry line producing a variety of uniquely designed pendants, rings, buckles, necklaces, pins, earrings and bracelets. In due time, Han Cholo’s continuous creativity ventured out onto apparel and later, even collaborated with Puma to produce the Goldie Han – gorgeous black, gold and purple sneakers with Han Cholo’s logo designed onto the back.

Celebrities like Rachel Bilson, Snoop Dogg, Brad Pitt, Nas, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Hilary Duff, Fergie, Rihanna, and Christina Aguilera have all been spotted sporting Han Cholo. Not only that, Gwen Stefani likes Han Cholo so much, that Han Cholo’s jewelry found themselves appearing on her Luxurious video.
Han Cholo has a store in Echo Park Ave in LA, California. Online, the jewelry line is sold at Karmaloop, 80s Purple, Sneaker Freaker (for only the Goldie Han shoe), Life Lounge, Cali Roots, Zappos, Kaboodle, Fashion Indie and Shop Style. Han Cholo also has an official website and store at www.hancholo.com.
Han Cholo’s eccentric jewelries may have begun with his girlfriends as wearers, but now Han Cholo has grown a much wider fan base wanting to sport his accessories. Brandon Schoolhouse and Han Cholo is a one of a kind story of success due to determination, talent and skills.
