For her Vanity Fair shoot, Nicole Richie chose Honeydew Intimates.
Honeydew Intimates is a collection of undergarments as sweet as the fruit itself. The brains behind the line is Benny Zafrani, owner and designer, who drew inspiration from their family-run intimate apparel manufacturing company. Behind him was his father Motty, the founder of the manufacturing company; mother Riki, a jewelry designer who provides him input and ideas; and brothers Jim and Liron who helped him develop the brand.
His inspiration behind the line is to come up with an intimate wear brand which carried a collection of undergarments suited for the fashionable, modern woman. He was also motivated by his wife’s love for high-quality lingerie.
“I wanted to create something that women can be excited about,” Benny said.
When Honeydew Intimates was created in 2002, it changed the face of underwear history by challenging the notion that “intimate apparel had to be plain.” Its pieces were funky and fresh, and have managed to combine functionality with fashion.
Honeydew Intimates became an instant favorite because of its vivid hues, cute prints, unique boy shirts and frilly panties – all of which were cheap yet comfortable. Honeydew Intimates broke barriers by creating sexy yet wholesome undergarments. It created its own fashion philosophy by veering away from undergarment stereotypes “expensive” and “plain” and creating intimates women love wearing.
The brand takes pride in using only the finest fabrics such as imported cottons, knits, microfibers, Supima cotton, Modal, rayon, nylon, and 2×1 ribbed cotton. With these quality items used in every Honeydew Intimate, you can be assured of the “distinct blend of comfort, quality, inimitable style and affordability” only Honeydew can give.
The collection is famous for its bras, cami sets, chemises, boy shorts, g-strings, and bralettes, and sleepwears which cost anywhere between $8-$50. Besides its trademark line, Honeydew Intimates also has a Signature collection.
