KR3W NS is the non-skater sister line of KR3W, a brand developed by Angel Cabada in 2002.

So what makes KR3W NS special? In his own words, Angel told Streetwear magazine that the NS line differs from KR3W because it has “more sophistication and fashion-centric goods, as well as less logo placements on their garments.”

The line, which ranges from hoodies, button up shirts, cardigans, tees, tanks, to shorts, jeans and krinks was created without skateboarding in mind. However this doesn’t mean it’s not functional or movement-friendly, the line still has the ability to be worn for anyone living an active lifestyle.

With the line’s diverse apparel, it is obvious that Angel draws inspiration from everything. Cabada states: “I’m inspired by everything. Day to day walking around the streets, picking up a book. It could be anything from a woman’s shoe to a magazine I pick up, maybe a record, a piece of furniture, a car, LB, Mamma, and my girl…At the end, I get inspiration from everything I see.”

As for the design process, the brain behind KR3W NS treats his endeavor as something he loves doing. He adds, “I don’t even consider this my job. I just do it day to day, and when you love it, it’s not even like working at all.”

Despite the line’s success, Angel keeps his feet firmly planted on the ground. He says, “I never had a set plan for success, we’re just having fun.”

Some fans of KR3W NS include DJs Steve Aoki and Samantha Ronson who both modeled for the brand’s previous campaigns.

So what can a fan expect from KR3W NS’ future collections? Angel had this to say: “We (will) concentrate on new innovative fabrics, cuts and colors. We just try to keep it fresh, new, and exciting.”
