Kawaii Keycap
Loungefly is a southern California based brand that defines what “cute” really is. Starting in a warehouse in 1998, the brand soon became one of the most sought after accessory line around.
Loungefly consists of a few talented hands and minds that bring you the ever popular skull prints and too cute to handle accessories. These wonderful people have created a very unique lifestyle and clothing brand that provides you with enough sickeningly sweet art to cover you from head to toe. Besides the well loved Hello Kitty collaboration with jeweller Tarina Tarantino, they have a few collections that are based on other lines; these include Skelanimals, Crowded Teeth, the Smurfs, Tootsie Kawaii and of everyone’s favorite Disney characters. Gwen Stefani is known to be a fan of their merchandise. You can bring their designs to school with their aluminum I Heart Nerds lunchboxes, or their almost edible bracelets and trinkets. Just take a peep at some of the pictures and you’ll get why it is almost too irresistible to not buy anything from them.

Skull and Rainbow shirt by Loungefly
Their arsenal of too cute for anything merchandise consists of totes, wallets, t-shirts, novelty items, key caps, jewelry, lunch boxes…you name it, they have it. They have even started a partnership with men’s clothing line, Deter clothing. Usually their designs are made of fabrics like denim or cotton with appliqué, a few cute prints thrown in and bright colors injected in them too. One of their more well known designs are the skull and crossbones plus hearts prints.
Loungefly has been featured in a number of online magazines as well as printed publications. They were featured in OK magazine and Seventeen magazine. So far, they are widely available all over the States, but they don’t cater much to the international scene just yet. Until then, everyone should make do with contacting their retailers or ordering online.
