Kelly B. is a strong woman and a devoted mother who succeeded in making a fabulous entry into the fashion world. She created almost single-handedly the Princess of the Posse fashion label. P.O.P. has taken by storm New York City and in a very short time has established a new streetwear style which encompasses both the power and the charm of the modern woman.
The Princes of the Posse label grew out of the dreams of Kelly B. She imagined herself being the princess of a clothing line and creating cut and sew pieces for all the loyal subject of streetwear fashion. She and her homegirl Jenn started throwing parties hoping to raise money to start the clothing line. However, the fashion dream came true only years later, after Kelly brought into this world a beautiful baby girl. She was determined to succeed, and with the help of her boyfriend, she transformed her living room into a printing studio. At night, when her baby girl went to sleep, Kelly and her boyfriend stayed up to print shirts and bandanas – promotional material for the label. The Bamboozled tee was produced and after it was heavily advertised on MySpace it became a major hit and the starting point of the streetwear brand’s success.
Kelly’s profit from The Bamboozled tee along with her own savings, helped her drop the first Princess of the Posse collection in spring 2008. She was not alone in this venture. Kelly partnered up with other three friends to design a fresh and innovative collection which gained worldwide praises. Since then, P.O.P. offers only stylish garments in limited editions. This is because the P.O.P. woman is very fashion conscious with a powerful and unique personality. She is second to none, following no rules – a wild Princess of the street.

Princes of the Posse clothing. It’s all about power and beauty.
The Princes of the Posse 2009 Spring/Summer collection is a return to the basics. Black and white designs are capturing the eye with their simple, yet elegant beauty. Kelly B. reveals the idea behind her creations for this season: “This collection was inspired by the minimalism of Berlin street fashion & the allure of French royalty. Always reflecting upon their NY state of mind, P.O.P. honors some of their favorite musicians (Santogold and Ghostface Killah) by citing lyrics that inspire the designers. Princess of the Posse continues to bring you the best in quality fabrics and silhouettes with all the printing and cut goods made in NYC.”
P.O.P. is a very young streetwear clothing brand. However, its merchandise is already in the pages of numerous magazines, including M.I.S.S., XLR8R, Missbehave, Highsnobette, The Clones and Acclaim. For 2010 Princes of the Posse is preparing a collaboration with designer Maikhanh Bertrand of Rebel Dance. You can expect startling women’s and men’s clothing.
