Design for Seryes Spring line

Design for Serye's Spring line

Serye is a graffiti inspired line that is authentically urban. Fifteen years of street experience and a few more years of technical training guarantees you that. The brand’s design team is based in California but can now be found world wide. Unlike most clothing brands, they don’t boast of who they know, who’s worn their shirts or how great they are. However, they do boast of their originality and boldness. Those are only two of the many things that make their label stand out.

Serye is a design monster with three ill heads: Monroe, Hopper and P.Peralta. Their main man is Hopper, who is their head designer. Hopper has been in the graffiti and print business for about 10 years. A regular day at the office in the Serye lair is basically a mash up of three dangerously creative minds collaborating on one shirt. This kind of artist collaboration ensures that only the sickest designs are put into print. Their designs are characterized by luminescent, loud, and large lettering, done in such carefully picked colorways. All of this is displayed in such amazingly defined and intricate prints. You won’t have to look twice to appreciate the brilliance of their designs.

Their label is here to provide you with what you need and when you need it – with a twist. They don’t exploit the hype. They let their street experience do the talking for them. They don’t jump on trends, they make them. This is probably why Serye is distributed all over the world. Literally. They have retailers in different states of America and Canada, not to mention their retailers in Guatemala, Singapore, Germany, and New Zealand.

They have sponsored a few events including Party Rock at the Aubergine night club and many others to represent their brand’s style. Their team was also a significant part of Under Pressure, an event hosted by the magazine of the same name. Under Pressure was an art event that funded the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. They have also been featured in Xpoz magazine, with the winner of America’s Best Dance Crew MTV to represent them – the Jabbawockeez. How’s that for stylin’?

Besides producing a myriad of crisp t-shirts, they also produce graffiti stickers of their designs. Check out their merchandise on www.seryedesign.com
