True to its name, Shoes for Lovely People was created with provide cool and lovely individuals with great footwear.

The label, which launched in 2007,  is the brainchild of veteran designer Patty Kerrigan, member of the Jebara family who owns London’s famous Pepe Jeans brand. Although she brimmed with apparel design experience, she always found a place in her heart for shoes. As she puts it, she ““always loved shoes and was looking for a new challenge.”

This cute shoe collection is as lovely as the people it was made for, that’s why a lot of women have a pair or two of Shoes for Lovely People in their closets. This label boasts of every footwear staple in every woman’s life – that being a collection of wedges, heels, flats, sandals and boots.

Patty prides in bringing vintage-inspired silhouettes with a modern twist to a whole new level; and for fusing breakthrough shapes, colors, and ideas in her shoes.

She tells of her inspiration: “I drew inspiration from the styles of the ’60s, but tried to give my shoes a tough but still very feminine look. We are working with all kinds of novelty materials, especially new, unique patents.”

She treats “versatile, whimsical, and comfortable shoes” as her ultimate inspiration, and the “freshness, sleekness, and sasssiness” of her shoes as her trademark work ethic. Just like the fashion icon (and Patty’s inspiration) Jackie O, Shoes for Lovely People manages to keep up with the trends – and sometimes even break them – everytime it releases a new collection. With the shoes boasting of great construction, function, and comfort, it continues to earn flocks and flocks of shoe-holics.

According to Patty, the Lovely People customer is as confident as her lovely shoes. “My customer wears high fashion effortlessly. She has an eye for good design and knows how to put herself together. She’s creative in her dressing style; she’s a confident achiever, and she does not need to be wearing $500 shoes to feel good about herself,” she says.

The Summer 2009 collection notably brims with gladiator sandals – which is obvious ly shown in the Leo, Luka, Teeny, and Fiona models. It also features cute and colorful Lilly Flats, as well as bright Scorpio and Connie wedges.

The Spring 2009 collection also features the Iman, Gilda, Camilla, Lara, Paula, Avery, Lucille, and Paris flat gladiator sandals; and the high-heeled Naomi, Vanity, Eternity, Miriam, Beauty, Remy, Dove, and Meadow strappy sandals.

The 2009 Fall Collection boasts of comfy Judy, Buckley, and Ceri flats; sophisticated Aoiki, Hinley, Ingrid, Pippa, Aziza, and Ambrose heels; and chic yet comfy Ava, Finley, Riddler, Piper and Velma boots.

The 2009 Holiday Collection features the cute Judy and Kipper flats; and the sexy Pippa, Vera, Ambrose, Thistle, and Cash heels.
