Inspirational, determination and hard work is what Soulful Commandoe portrays. The label began in 2002 on a piece of paper. Because his ideas were often rejected so many times, founder Nicholas Mayfield began to grow insecure thus causing him to hide his interests of starting his own clothing line. One day he found himself working four jobs and going to community college, which in the end, he found very unsatisfactory. So, once he saved up enough money, he started to create his first Soulful Commandoe tees. With determination and patience, Mayfield kept this up, selling t-shirts by the trunk of his car, little by little.

It was in 2005, Soulful Commandoe was able to begin mass producting their products by Mayfield perseverance and with the help of his friends. For Mayfield, this dream of his was all about not giving up and fighting for your dreams and in turn, this is what he wanted Soulful Commandoe to be about.

Creative, thrifty, comfort, quality and artistic all in one label – Soulful Commandoe. If it’s never been done before, it has now. With Mayfield’s cutting-edge style derived from his perseverance, hard work , determination and his raw talent, Soulful Commandoe has a lot to offer.

Mayfield worked hard for his clothing line that now, even RNB artist, Chris Brown has been seen wearing Soulful Commandoe. Not only that, the label took part in a runway show wherein ieStyle Magazine and Press Enterprise were there to appreciate his work.

Currently, Soulful Commandoe is available in 25 local stores including Bobizzo in Las Vegas, Soul City in Oregon, Citizen in Michigan, Runway in Massachusetts and Soulful Commandoe’s first official store that opened in May of 2009 in L.A. Soulful Commandoe doesn’t only dominate the country but online as the collection can be bought in Karmaloop, Active Ride Shop, Pharmacy Board Shop, Sun Diego, The Fizix and the 80’s Purple. Not only that, internationally, the collection can now be bought in Japan, England, Taiwan, United Kingdom and in Ukraine.

For a clothing line to be successful, the founder needs to be very patient and determined to the success they deserve. Mayfield, having gone through so many hardships, wasn’t one to back out. Soulful Commandoe is one of the best brands worth watching out for.
