Superfishal is a label that came out of the dream of San Francisco based artist Jeremy Fish in 2007. Jeremy was born on the east coast and migrated to the west to go to art school, and since then he has done great things. As collaboration with Upper Playground, Superfishal began as a line of limited edition apparel and accessories. Fish says the line was inspired by the gold rush days of gambling and johns. The line is no longer limited as it is well into its third season. The collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, accessories, and a limited edition series of skateboard decks. When not designing clothes and making art, Jeremy Fish is a busy business man cooking up his next project.

The amazing feature of each design implemented in Superfishal clothing is their use of bunnies. The bunnies, interestingly enough, are used as weapons; like the bunny grenade. Fish describes this as an ongoing saga between cute and creepy. He uses the unlikely designs to draw you in. The bunny is not the only thing you will see in his streetwear designs. He uses lots of animals, fish, beavers, badgers, turtles, and birds to name a few. He mixes these animals with cars, gangstas, and hearts.

If you have ever seen any of the designs that Jeremy comes up with then you know that his art style is humorous and is in no way superficial. It reflects the insightful thought on what is happening around the world and is a must have in the streetwear scene. Although Superfishal is Fish’s own line, he is not new to the clothing scene in 2006. Fish has collaborated with Aesop Rock after they moved to San Francisco in 2005. Fish later went on to create the artwork for the group’s fifth studio album None Shall Pass.
