The Cool Kids Contest Winning Tee

The Cool Kids contest winning tee.

The Cool Kids is a hip hop duo whose members are Antione “Mikey Rocks” Reed and Evan “Chuck Inglish” Ingersol. The two musicians found each other in 2005 with the help of the social networking site Myspace. Since that fateful meeting, the duo has had success producing music together and sending it to the masses through Myspace.

Shortly after their musical success over the internet, the two began performing together at local events. Local DJ’s took notice of the group and they began to receive invitations to record tracks for big name recording labels. The duo even recorded a single that was produced and marketed by Fool’s Gold recording studios. However, the two felt that they were not being marketed properly to consumers. That is when Evan and Antione decided to create their own label by the name of C.A.K.E. The group has released several albums with their own recording label. However, the primary means of marketing the music performed by the group is he Myspace page for the duo.

As an alternative marketing strategy, the group teamed up with online retailer Karmaloop to design a tee shirt for the band. The Cool Kids put the word out that they were looking for a logo to adorn a tee shirt that would represent their music. With the help of the folks from Karmaloop all the entries were looked over until a winner was finally found.
