Agent Provocateur currently has stores in 13 countries around the globe. The cities in which they are located include New York, London, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Paris, San Francisco, Berlin, and Vienna. During 1994, the first Agent Provocateur shop opened in London, in SoHo’s  Broadwick Street.

Agent Provocateur was started by two individuals named Joseph Corré and Serena Rees. Joseph Corré is the son of of Vivienne Westwood, the famous British fashion designer who is most known for her rock ‘n’ roll inspired designs. Joseph Corré was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 2007 for his work in the fashion industry. However, he controversially rejected this honor in protest to the actions of British Prime Minister Tony Blair in relation to the Iraq war.
