Dittos

Daniella Clarke – the woman who revived the Dittos legend.
Some say that Dittos wrote “The Book on Fit”. Indeed, back in the 70’s Dittos Jeans were the perfect jeans with the perfect fit. A fit designed to drive men crazy and make women feel like superstars. And now the legendary Dittos painted-on and high-waisted are back and their appeal is stronger than ever. The same amazing fit and vintage colors and feel of yesterday are combined with modern flavors and outstanding manufacturing methods. The new Dittos Jeans are writing now a new and exciting chapter to “The Book on Fit”.
Daniella Clarke is the designer and visionary mind who single handedly re-launched the legend of Dittos. Daniella Clark is the founder and designer of Frankie B – a fashion label who is now celebrating 10 years of success in the denim industry. Influenced by fashion idols Halston and Elsa Klensch, Daniella founded Frankie B in 1999 with a budget of only $5000. Her hard work and determination made the label a hit. Daniella Clarke explains her key to success in the tough world of fashion. “I didn’t have a lot of experience in the denim industry but I knew what I liked and what was missing in the stores. I used the same business philosophy with Dittos. I always try to provide the customer with something that’s new and that I would wear. This is a very tough business of deadlines and constant pressure but like anything worth having you have to put in 100%.”

Dittos jeans – an irresistible fit.
The original Dittos denim brand was launched in the early 70’s and was an instant success creating a fashion trend which reverberated all over the world. Dittos made high waisted, wide legged jeans and trousers dyed in a multitude of vibrant and explosive colors with fabulous prints. Creative designs and the fact that women loved how the Dittos fit accentuated their curves and made them irresistible contributed to the old Dittos success. The new Dittos line was re-launched with a great buzz by Daniella Clarke in 2007. The founder and Creative Director of Frankie B explains why she chose to bring to life a fashion icon of the past. “I got involved with Dittos simply because it was a nostalgic project for me. I used to wear Dittos in the early eighties and was obsessed with them. When the opportunity came up it was a no brainer for me.”
The new Dittos came to life with the 2007 Spring/Summer Collection. The “Classic” was turned into a comfortable modern apparel without losing the essential characteristics–which made Dittos so sought after. Therefore, a vintage feeling combined with a bit of old sweet romanticism remains to be the most attractive attribute of this label. Now, Dittos has grown now into a full clothing collection. Tops, dresses and jackets are the new additions to Dittos Jeans that have received rave reviews in chic fashion magazines such as Elle, Nylon and Bazaar.
The all new and improved Dittos are a major hit among celebrities. Dakota Fanning, Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Alba, Kristin Cavallari and Emma Roberts are just some of the stars who love wearing Dittos. So, are you ready to try the new chapter from “The Book on Fit”?
