Miss Sixty is being a trendsetter for almost two decades. Founded in 1991 by the enigmatic Wichy Hassan, the Italian high fashion and lifestyle brand is putting forward every season inimitable style and glamour. Miss Sixty is the flagship label of Sixty SpA Worldwide fashion portfolio, which also includes the brands Energie and Killah. The owner and founder of Sixty SpA Worldwide, which many consider to be the most avant-garde design houses today, is fashion entrepreneur Wichy Hassan. As creative director, Wichy is also responsible for the cutting edge style of Miss Sixty. Although his own fashion style is intriguingly plain – Wichy is always wearing simple jeans, tees and sneakers – he succeeds every time to please the crowds and the celebrities with his extravagant fashion designs.
Wichy Hassan confesses that if he weren’t a fashion designer, he would certainly be a pop-art artist. His connection with the art world and spirit is obvious in his approach to fashion design. “Fashion is for playing with your image, expressing yourself, creating new looks, and having fun.” Wichy started his $1 billion business in the early 1980’s by combining his passion for art and fashion design. He opened a small, but highly innovative boutique in Rome. The fashion store was named Energie and, in a short time, became renowned for exhibiting art objects side by side with fashion items. Ten years later, Wichy would display the same revolutionary spirit by creating Miss Sixty brand.

Miss Sixty fame was started by the brand’s jeans collections. The label has, and continues, to be an undisputed pioneer of the envied skinny jeans. This is obvious when Wichy said this about their jeans: “Between different washes, hardware details, silhouettes, and embellishments there are unlimited possibilities. Miss Sixty and our men’s brand Energie create over two million pairs of jeans a year in over 130 different washes. Jeans are the ultimate canvas for innovation.”
Miss Sixty has many customers among Hollywood stars, but what’s more important is that many of its famous clients are also close friends of the label. Stars like Demi Moore and Clive Owen are always near the catwalk when Wichy Hassan needs their support. Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, Paris Hilton, Kristen Stewart, Mischa Barton and supermodel Heidi Klum are some of the famous faces constantly spotted wearing Miss Sixty garments.
Miss Sixty’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection made a sensation at the New York Fashion Week with monochrome acid washed, patterned and stenciled denim.
